It’s been about 3 weeks since the New Zealand release of Body Combat 35. Plenty of time to get use to the moves and start getting some real power behind it, even if just starting out with it.
Had a pretty packed Wellington launch event at
Les Mills. Followed by a couple of blitz weeks of team instructors at the usual time slots.
BC35 has a pile of leg work to it, with some kick heavy tracks also set of one legged squats. The
promo for BC35 gives a good idea of what to expect.
The music selection suits the whole BC thing well, including a really long combat track (The United Vibe - Scooter), over seven minutes. The interesting one in the mix is a track from Hairspray (track 5), wasn’t one I liked to start with, but it does grow on you after a while.
Personal favourite though is track 8, Heaven – Tokyo Haze. The music fits perfectly to the chorography, starting with a boxing bob, transitioning fluidly into fast hooks…
